Happy New Year and all that Jazz....Oh look Elephants

Well I am back after a few months off, I will blame work and personal events.

But the reality is I am just very lazy :)

I have been slowly painting up my Carthaginian Army for this years Southcon event.

400 points with 2 generals, I will post the list later as I am still in theorymachine mode about what to take.

The below pictures are from the game I had last weekend, Tom was nice enough to  run his EIR army against me, it was the first time he had used two generals... I hope he had fun...well he won so that always helps :)

Roman victory.... boo hiss

As always a great game of Impetus, Tom was so much fun to play against, even with his Chain Attack Casino dice, those things are great :)

Hope to have another post sooner rather than later, but lets be honest this blog is a tad hit and miss.

Long Time No See......

Just a quick update out of the blue, I have spent the last few weeks getting this army painted for the HuttClub V3 competition.

http://www.huttclub.co.nz/events/v3/

The below is my 400 Points of Early Italian Wars French, lets say 1498.

The pictures have been taken with my phone, so they are not super great.

I have a test game this weekend so will get out the big boy camera and take some better pictures.

Everyone's Favourite Veteran Swiss Pike with Allied Swiss to keep them company

Canon and French crossbowmen guard the camp

French and Italian Men at Arm, with some light horse

Dancing Bear

Hopefully I should get some better pictures this weekend, though looking at the bear I might have to add another coat of paint to him.

Almost there

Well this one is a little late, I will blame work for that.....

So some more pictures of my Impetus army for its trip down to Southcon. Again sorry for the quality.

Just the last base of cavalry riders to paint and the middle of the camp plus some more disorder markers if I have time.

Generals base (Though I think it might be better to have him on foot)

Disorder Markers

Nothing says opportunity marker like a ninja

Another week, another post

Well I have been quite lazy on the painting side, just the one base finised, but lots of base colours painted on others so there should be at least two stands posted this time next week*

My Camp.... what ever shall I put inside it :)

Also had a game of Big Boy Impetvs finally, we managed to get heaps of it wrong, but I always find the best way to learn a new ruleset is to read the rules, play a game then read the rules again. But that is just me.

Till next week

* This may or may not be true

Its ALIVE !!!

Well after being away for... well f-ing ages really I have decided to get this thing back on track.

So after all this time what have I been playing.....

Malifaux, Fow and picked up Infinity, Saga and Impetus.

Below is the start of my Southcon Army,

I will expand this out to 400 points after Queen's Birthday weekend.

I have decided to start painting the Ashigaru first since they are uniformed troops they are quick to paint.

The Samurai... well they could be more of a problem for me.

All figures are Perry Miniatures... so very nice.

Pictures are average at best, but I hope you get the idea.

Oh look something shiney

Well my war game magpie-itis has struck again, with Call to Arms less than a month away and with me needed to paint 4 battalions of foot and my Hussars to finish my Russian army I have loss the motivation to finish it.

BUT

While having a small clean out of my hobby stuff I spotted some FOW british paras and have been painting them up, once I get a hold of some of the new FOW rubble bases I will get some pics up as I feel they are the best FOW figures I have painted.

BUT  :)

While digging deeper into the piles of toy crap I spotted an infinity figure
( http://www.infinitythegame.com/ )  that I have had for ages and decided to paint that as well. I have now decided to get a starter box of them and get a game or two in, from what I have read online this looks like it will be a very very good game, and of course the figures are GREAT
