Another week, another post

Well I have been quite lazy on the painting side, just the one base finised, but lots of base colours painted on others so there should be at least two stands posted this time next week*

Also had a game of Big Boy Impetvs finally, we managed to get heaps of it wrong, but I always find the best way to learn a new ruleset is to read the rules, play a game then read the rules again. But that is just me.

Its ALIVE !!!

Well after being away for... well f-ing ages really I have decided to get this thing back on track.

So after all this time what have I been playing.....

Malifaux, Fow and picked up Infinity, Saga and Impetus.

Below is the start of my Southcon Army,

I will expand this out to 400 points after Queen's Birthday weekend.

I have decided to start painting the Ashigaru first since they are uniformed troops they are quick to paint.

The Samurai... well they could be more of a problem for me.

All figures are Perry Miniatures... so very nice.

Oh look something shiney

Well my war game magpie-itis has struck again, with Call to Arms less than a month away and with me needed to paint 4 battalions of foot and my Hussars to finish my Russian army I have loss the motivation to finish it.

BUT

While having a small clean out of my hobby stuff I spotted some FOW british paras and have been painting them up, once I get a hold of some of the new FOW rubble bases I will get some pics up as I feel they are the best FOW figures I have painted.

BUT  :)

While digging deeper into the piles of toy crap I spotted an infinity figure
( http://www.infinitythegame.com/ )  that I have had for ages and decided to paint that as well. I have now decided to get a starter box of them and get a game or two in, from what I have read online this looks like it will be a very very good game, and of course the figures are GREAT

Lazy oh so Lazy

One post and then nothing, I wonder how many Blogs go like that?

Painting for me is an odd thing if I'm in the mood I can paint for hours and when I'm not, like now I cant even be bothered to paint for 10 mins. I wish I could bottle what gives me the inspiration though sometimes its a book other times its seeing a fun game or going to a tourney.

Speaking of tourneys over Queens Birthday weekend I headed back to Dunedin to partake in Southcon's Malifaux competition only four players rolled up but I had a fun 3 games on the Sunday, was good to see some of the gamers down there. The most disappointing thing was the quality of the armies in the GW comps though, so many unpainted figures and I'm not sure why as there has always been a painting requirement (maybe they dropped it).

I have decided to re base my Lasalle British army and have found a great basing material "Extra Course Pumice Gel" it cost $28NZD once the camera is online I will post some pics.

Well that's all for  tonight's rant, I will try and be a bit better with my postings and try for one or two a week depending on the thoughts floating around in my head.

Hi all to yet another blog on wargaming, I hope to use this space as a way of showing my painting progress and to keep my different projects on track so I don't bounce around too much with different things that catch my eye.

I am a member of the Hutt Club http://www.huttclub.co.nz/ which is a really friendly bunch of wargamers of mainly historical wargames and with a good turn out for Warmachine / Hordes though I'm trying to get some of them to play Malifaux and Dystopian Wars.

Later this week I will post up some pictures of my painted figures to show them off :)
